I found this application tweepbeep, for twitter probably one of the most useful for the person on the go. I check my email everyday to keep track of things, who mentioned me, who replied to me, who sent me a private message via social site and how my youtube’s doing, and my weekly Youtube subscription update, so, why not for Twitter also?
tweetbeep is exactly what some people need who are always on the go and busy. tweetbeep alerts you via email if you have been mentioned, re-tweeted, replied to, have a direct message or even your company’s product! Tweetbeep will even notify you if someone tweets about your website or company name. You can keep track of whatever you want to with this application.
I personally use it to notify me of anyone mentioning my name. I don’t like to download programs for this. So instead, I use this small application to send me emails. You even have the option for an hourly update about your twitter account. Though, I personally wouldn’t use this if I had A LOT of followers and people mentioning my name as the volume could be way to much. I find this to be a downfall, filling your email up with Twitter updates. I personally love this application, and the general idea of it.
